This years’ Kate’s Home Nursing Carol Service at St Edwards Church, on December 15 th 2023 was a truly magical festive occasion. The bells rang out across the square and our thanks go to The North Cotswold Bell Ringers for beckoning us.

We were wonderfully entertained by Richard Coxon, Imogen Cox, Emily Campbell, Hot Fingers Jazz and by Isabella and Darcey Cox who sang a beautiful rendition of ‘The Lord is my Shepherd’.
There were poignant readings performed by Sybil Ruscoe, Tom Knight, Rebecca Scutt and Pamela Stephenson and the organ accompanying the carols was played by Nicholas Ashton. Kate’s would like to thank all the performers who took part and gave their time and talent free of charge to Kate’s and we are very grateful for their continued support.

Nick Puffett, Kate’s clinical lead nurse, delivered a warming speech which illustrated the financial challenges that the charity is facing.
Kate’s is very grateful to the Reverend Karen Wellman for allowing us to hold our event in St Edward’s Church and for presiding over the service and also our thanks go to Desmond Watson, Robert Barnett and Dougie King for setting up the church and also to St Edward’s Church Flower Volunteers for the decorating. As ever, we are very thankful to all our sponsors who provide the
support to pay for our programme.

Kitebrook School provided the designs for the front and back covers of our programme.
As the congregation left the church full of cheer, they were offered a mince pie kindly donated by Lynda Hicks.
We do hope you can join us this year – a date for your diary is Friday 13 th December 2024 – ticket sales will be available in early November.

From all the team at Kate’s our thanks to everyone who attended and generously donated. The total sum raised was circa £23,000 which is an amazing result.
