A huge thank you to Bourton Roadrunners who recently donated £2882.49 to Kate’s Home Nursing.
Bourton Roadrunners has a long history of supporting charitable organisations through its its running activities. Each year the club organises three running events locally – the Bourton 10k , Bourton mile and the Bourton Half Marathon, with the aim of donating a significant part of any surplus. For 2024,members agreed that 100 per cent of this surplus would be awarded to nominated charities, as well as direct donations from race entrants.
Each year members are asked to nominate a charity that has special meaning for them, along with a secondary charity. Members voted for Kate’s Home Nursing, along with Cure Parkinson’s and Headspace.
Like many other charities and hospices across the UK, we are experiencing increased expenditure to provide our our care. We need to raise of £600,000 to provide our hospice at home services FREE of charge to the local community. Last year, we did not cover these costs. Generous donations like these go a long way to helping us close the gap between income and expenditure.
Thank you all of you – we are so grateful for your generosity and support.
