An evening of fine Indian dining, vibrant entertainment, and heartfelt generosity at the stunning Sezincote estate has raised over £100,000 in aid of two much-loved local charities—Kate’s Home Nursing and the St Vincent de Paul Society.
Guests at the Indian Summer Gala were welcomed with a champagne reception and traditional Indian dancing before enjoying a menu of exquisite dishes from Michelin-starred chef Aktar Islam. The evening culminated in a spectacular charity auction, offering exclusive prizes including luxury retreats, private dining experiences, and unique VIP opportunities—many generously donated in support of the causes.
The gala was set against the magnificent backdrop of Sezincote, a family-run 3,500-acre Cotswold estate known for its enchanting gardens and iconic 200-year-old Mogul-style Indian palace—often described as the ‘jewel of the Cotswolds.’
The event would not have been possible without the generous support of sponsors: Wilbur Developments Ltd, Hampden Bank, Private Cellar Wine and Apsley House Capital, to whom the charities are deeply grateful.
Helen Makaritis, CEO of Kate’s Home Nursing, said: “This incredible evening brought together community, culture, and compassion in the most magical setting. The funds raised will go directly toward helping people at their most vulnerable, offering dignity at the end of life and vital support for families. We are truly grateful to our sponsors, our hardworking event committee, and to Camilla and Edward Peake for welcoming us so warmly to Sezincote.”
