What a transformation!
As part of our 30th anniversary celebrations, we have transformed a space in the heart of Bourton-on-the-Water into a beautiful Memory Garden.
The garden is a lasting tribute to Kate’s Home Nursing and to 30 years of providing hospice care at home for local families.
A place to reflect and remember
The before and after photos show just how much the space has changed.
We wanted to create a colourful and welcoming place where residents and visitors can sit, reflect and remember loved ones. The garden is filled with flowers, attractive planters and planting designed to bring colour throughout the year.
It also celebrates the many patients, families, volunteers, supporters and friends who have been part of the Kate’s Home Nursing story over the past three decades.
Letters to Heaven
One of the most special features of the Memory Garden in Bourton-on-the-Water is our ‘Letters to Heaven’ letterbox.
Anyone can write a private letter to someone they have lost and place it in the box. The letters will never be read. Instead, they will be respectfully composted and used to help nurture the garden.
In this way, those private words and precious memories can become part of something that continues to grow.

For 30 years, Kate’s Home Nursing has been about care, compassion and community. We now have a special corner of Bourton-on-the-Water where memories can continue to bloom.
