Kate’s Home Nursing provides professional, compassionate, hospice care at home, at an emotional and frightening time for patients and families alike.
Our bank of experienced Registered Nurses, including several Queen’s Nurses, provide expert nursing care for people in the last stage of illness who wish to die at home. We seek to ensure the best possible pain relief and symptom control. Kate’s Home Nursing also provides much-needed respite for the patient’s family or carer.
Our registered nurses work very closely with the District Nursing Service, our local GPs and other multi-disciplinary teams to provide our nursing service for our local community.
There is no set pattern of care. Our nursing is arranged according to need from a few hours of respite for a patient’s family to all night nursing. We place particular emphasis on effective pain relief and symptom control.
