Save the date – Christmas Carol Service
Save the date for one of the highlights of our calendar – the Kate’s Home Nursing Carol Service. This is a truly special Christmas Carol Service at St Edward’s Church, Stow-on-the-Wold, at 6:30pm on Friday 11th December.
Step into the warmth and wonder of Christmas as we fill the church with festive music, candlelight, and community spirit. Celebrate the joy of the season and help us raise vital funds to support local families through Kate’s Home Nursing.

What a wonderful summer it’s been — hot, hot, hot, filled with sunshine, community spirit and some fantastic events, all helping to raise vital funds for Kate’s Home Nursing.
A huge thank you to everyone who has supported us along the way — our staff, trustees, volunteers, everyone who gave their time, and of course everyone who came along, joined in and helped make each event such a success. We simply couldn’t do it without you.
We’d like to say a special thank you to everyone involved with the National Garden Scheme opening at Rockcliffe in Upper Slaughter. The proceeds from refreshments were generously donated to Kate’s Home Nursing, and we are incredibly grateful to Rockcliffe and to everyone who helped and attended.
Another big thank you goes to everyone who organised, took part in and supported our Texas Scramble Golf Day at Wychwood Golf Club. It was a fantastic day and raised valuable funds to support our work.
The Brockhampton Village Show was another memorable occasion, and we are so grateful to everyone who welcomed and supported us there.
Every event, every volunteer hour and every contribution helps us continue providing compassionate hospice care at home to local families when they need it most.
Thank you for being part of our summer — and for being part of Kate’s Home Nursing.
A new Memory Garden in Bourton-on-the-Water
What a transformation!
As part of our 30th anniversary celebrations, we have transformed a space in the heart of Bourton-on-the-Water into a beautiful Memory Garden.
The garden is a lasting tribute to Kate’s Home Nursing and to 30 years of providing hospice care at home for local families.
A place to reflect and remember
The before and after photos show just how much the space has changed.
We wanted to create a colourful and welcoming place where residents and visitors can sit, reflect and remember loved ones. The garden is filled with flowers, attractive planters and planting designed to bring colour throughout the year.
It also celebrates the many patients, families, volunteers, supporters and friends who have been part of the Kate’s Home Nursing story over the past three decades.
Letters to Heaven
One of the most special features of the Memory Garden in Bourton-on-the-Water is our ‘Letters to Heaven’ letterbox.
Anyone can write a private letter to someone they have lost and place it in the box. The letters will never be read. Instead, they will be respectfully composted and used to help nurture the garden.
In this way, those private words and precious memories can become part of something that continues to grow.

For 30 years, Kate’s Home Nursing has been about care, compassion and community. We now have a special corner of Bourton-on-the-Water where memories can continue to bloom.
Thank you for the Music!
A huge thank you to everyone who came along to our Picnic on the Pitch and helped make it such a memorable event.
It was wonderful to see the community coming together to enjoy the music, dance, sing and catch up with friends. Thank you for your support.
The event raised an amazing £3,000 for Kate’s Home Nursing, helping us continue to provide compassionate hospice care at home for local people and their families.
Our heartfelt thanks go to Bourton Rovers FC, Cotswold Radio, the disco by Ian Sorely, live music with Jordan Harding and the fabulous Abba Tribute band, Abba’s Angels. Thanks too to our generous sponsors and our wonderful volunteers who helped make the evening possible.
Two nurses take on the Cotswold Big Swim!
Fiona and Jill are aiming to complete the 1.9km swim – the equivalent of an incredible 76 lengths of a standard swimming pool. The Cotswold Big Swim Festival is a celebration of open-water swimming, bringing together swimmers of all ages and abilities in the beautiful Cotswold Water Park.
