Kate’s Home Nursing is proud to be taking part in Dying Matters Awareness Week, (4-10 May 2026) a national campaign led by Hospice UK, encouraging open and honest conversations about death, dying and bereavement.
During the week, we will be hosting two informal “Let’s Talk” sessions, inviting our local community to come together to talk openly and with compassion about topics that can often feel difficult to discuss, over a free cuppa.

These sessions are a chance to ask questions, share experiences, or simply listen in a supportive and welcoming environment. Our nurses will be joined by local funeral directors and solicitors, who will be on hand to offer guidance and answer any questions you may have.
Dying Matters Awareness Week aims to break down the stigma around talking about death and dying, helping people feel more comfortable having these important conversations with family, friends and loved ones.
Everyone is welcome to attend – whether you have specific questions, are supporting someone, or simply want to learn more.

Enjoy eight acres of traditional English garden, featuring a pink garden, white and blue garden, herbaceous borders, rose terrace, and a large walled kitchen garden with greenhouses. A topiary-lined pathway leads through the orchard to a charming stone dovecote.
Please note: regrettably, no dogs are permitted.
This remarkable garden was the Regional Winner of The English Garden Magazine’s Nation’s Favourite Gardens 2023 and has been featured in numerous books and publications.
