A huge THANK YOU to the incredible team at Styleplan for taking on a Tough Mudder in support of Kate’s Home Nursing!
Battling mud, water, climbing walls and some seriously tough obstacles, the team showed amazing determination and teamwork — and we are so grateful that their efforts have raised an incredible £560 for our charity.
Every pound raised helps us continue providing compassionate hospice at home care and bereavement support for patients and families across the North Cotswolds.
Thank you, Styleplan, for your support, energy and commitment — we think you’re all absolute legends!
We are incredibly grateful to a team of 10 staff members from Styleplan Electrical who are taking on the Tough Mudder London West 5K in support of Kate’s Home Nursing. The event, which features over 12 obstacles, is being held 9th and 10th May, at Culden Faw Estate near Henley-on-Thames, and promises to be a muddy and demanding test of teamwork and determination.
The team has chosen to support Kate’s Home Nursing because of a personal connection to the charity. As they shared on their fundraising page: “We’re fundraising for Kate’s Home Nursing, who provide incredible hospice care at home for people across the North Cotswolds. This charity means a great deal to us personally, as they cared for a member of our team’s family. We saw firsthand the kindness, dignity and comfort they bring during such a difficult time.”
Helping us to help others
Their efforts will help us continue delivering our specialist ‘hospice at home’ care, supporting patients who wish to remain at home, surrounded by those who are important to them. We are so thankful for their commitment and wish them the very best of luck as they take on this challenge.

Seb Makaritis will be running the London Landmarks Half Marathon, alongside his friend Jacob Dee, raising funds for two local Hospice at Home charities – Kate’s Home Nursing and Campden Home Nursing.
Seb is the son of our CEO, Helen Makaritis, and Jacob’s mum, Anita Dee, is a Therapeutic Play Practitioner at Campden Home Nursing, supporting children who have experienced bereavement.
Seb says:
“Jacob and I have been friends since primary school, so it felt right to run the London Landmarks Half Marathon together to support the charities our mums work for and help raise funds for the amazing nurses who care for people at the end of their lives at home.”
If you can spare the odd pound, it would mean so much to them – and to the families supported by these services.
Trustee, Nick Puffett, was delighted to receive the cheque from Luke Harvey, British horse racing expert, former jockey and television presenter. It was a packed club – standing room only! The Winchcombe community are fantastic supporters of Kate’s Home Nursing.
Speaking to the audience, Nick shared how Kate’s is a local charity supporting local people, and that this wonderful donation will help fund four nights of end-of-life nursing care. This means patients at the end of their lives can remain at home with their families, while our nurses ensure pain and other symptoms are carefully managed.
Thank you to everyone at the club and the wider Winchcombe community for your continued support. It makes a real difference to local families.
